Collie Rescue Information: Collies, or Rough Collies, are loyal, devoted, and protective dogs. Most Collies are excellent companions for children. Collies are natural herders and may nip at people's heels when they are puppies. Collies respond well to gentle obedience training. Collies are best suited to loving families with a decent sized yard but can adapt to apartment life. Collies are easy to housebreak.

Collie Trivia: The most famous Collie was the television star, Lassie. The Ken-L-Ration Hero Dog Award has been presented to Collies on five occasions. Collies have been known to travel as much as 2000 miles after getting lost to be reunited with their people. A Rough Collie is the mascot of Texas A & M University.
