Mac is a two year old short haired collie mix. I have had him for a year and unfortunately need to adopt him out due to work and health issues. Mac loves to play, cuddle, go to dog parks and eat bones. He can be a little protective and sometimes thinks he is a watch dog.

Rescue Me ID: 17-10-06-00415Claude (male)

Collie Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Claude is a 6 year old Collie mix (we think). We have had him since he was a puppy. He is a sweet dog, and is very maintenance. He does not shed very much, has no dietary/medical issues, and can be left alone for long periods of time. We are unable to keep him because we just had a child. Full disclosure - he is not great with other dogs and unpredictable with small children. However he is great with adults. Claude's issues stem from his high energy level; Claude is not aggressive with humans. We are hopeful we can find a good home for our beloved dog, and we will be sorry to see him go.

Collies are natural herders and may nip at people's heels when they are puppies. Collies respond well to gentle obedience training. Collies are best suited to loving families with a decent sized yard but can adapt to apartment life. Collies are easy to housebreak.
