Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive

Doc is a 7 year old Lab/Collie mix who served in Afghanistan for the Navy as a cadaver dog. He is highly intelligent, very obedient but in need of a forever home. After coming back from the war, he was adopted by a woman whose boyfriend ended up beating him - the military handler who placed him with the woman found out about his beatings and took back custody of Doc. Doc was then placed with a friend of ours who has had him for the past two years. This friend recently lost his job and can no longer care for him. We have been fostering Doc for the past couple of months to avoid him being taken to the SPCA. He is great around my two year ... (Read More)old granddaughter, played well with our other dog and was very 'curious' about our cat. Loves to travel in a car and to be with people, yet doesn't seem to like a lot of commotion or thunder storms (the noise possibly reminds him of Afghanistan?). He loves to go on walks and to follow beside you on a leash as you ride your bike. Doc is much more trusting of females. He is house trained, current with all of his vet needs but needs to be loved. Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Ava is so calm and easy going. She is great with humans and loves attention and gives sweet kisses. She has no problems with the other dogs. Ava does not like to be crated but is fine being in the room during the day as she is no longer a puppy and does not chew. She loves to be outside most of the day. She would love to be with someone that has a yard that she can roam around and sunbathe in. When she is inside she likes to curl up under or behind pillows and sleeps under the covers. She is up-to-date on shots, spayed and ready for her forever home. Fill out the adoption application at krrtx.org and get ready to welcome her into your home. ...
