Felix has quite the story starting from living on the streets to being rescued after having fire crackers taped to his ear and set off. His rescuer got him all fixed up and spoiled him rotten. Then he needed rescued again when a major life event happened and that's how he got to KRR. He is the perfect gentleman in the house. He loves to sleep and will find a comfortable spot absolutely anywhere and he's out like a light! He prances when he runs and he smiles all the time. Totally house trained and knows the doggy door. He is afraid of the leash I'm sure due to his past so that will take some time, patience and training. This boy is perfect ...     Meet the good looking COOPER! He is almost a year old and would love to celebrate his upcoming birthday with his own family. Cooper was just 3 months old when he and his siblings (one being Cleotis who is also up for adoption) were saved from a San Antonio kill shelter. He was labeled a German Shepher mix, but we believe him to be more of a lab/collie blend. Since Cooper has grown up with the pack here at the rescue, he is extremely dog socialized and a very confident young pup. He is puppy energetic and loves to chase and play with the other dogs. Cooper is very loving and affectionate and never passes up the chance to have his belly ... (Read More)rubbed or his ears scratched. Cooper is dreaming of an active family that is looking for a young dog they can train and take to lots of places letting him experience the different sights, smells and sounds the world has to offer. He does walk happily on a leash but needs more training as any one year old would. Cooper is great with kids, as long as they respect his boundaries and understand, that dogs too, need time to be left alone. We do not have cats in rescue so we cannot say how he is with them. However, he is still young and could be taught to leave them alone, if he shows to have that 'interest'. Cooper is neutered, current on his vaccines and micro chipped. He recently tested negative for heart-worm and tick-borne-disease. He is a healthy 51-55 pounds and we think he should stay around this weight. Cooper (and don't forget his brother Cleotis) is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog rescue. We are located in Devine, south of San Antonio, in the high kill state of Texas. Our adoption fee is $170. We do offer our dogs for adoption to safe and loving families that live along the East and West Coasts. We use professional transportation companies to ensure their safe arrival. (Transportation is an additional fee of $175-$200.) Our application can be found on our website under the application tab. On behalf of Cooper (and brother Cleotis), thank you for looking and he hopes you are the family he's dreaming of. (Less)

CADON (est. DOB - 1/14) was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services with his 3 siblings. CADON being the only tri-colour out of the pack, he was also the runt of the litter, but soon caught up and is now taller than the remaining brothers still here at the rescue. CADON is a very happy, fun loving affectionate pup. He loves to play and chase the other dogs and gets on with them all. CADON would benefit with some basic and advanced obedience, he is very attentive and is eager to please. He is great with humans and dogs alike, he has not been exposed to cats. He has the sweetest face, don't you agree? Cadon's adoption fee includes ... (Read More)transport.
