Collie Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi I'm Mason! And boy do I have a lot to share with you!! Not only am I one of the cutest balls of fluff ever but I am one of NINE balls of fluff! My foster mom takes care of me and my brother Dixon (Mason and Dixon get it? Hehe). Dixon is a lot of fun, we love to play and cuddle with each other. I also love to play with my foster brother and sister (when they aren't running me over). They are really big to me but I still run after them in the yard! Maybe one day I will be big enough to play all day with them or my new fur brother/sister! Right now I am just like a baby, I will pounce, run and play but then it's time for a nap. But no ... (Read More)worries, once my nap is over its playtime again! I do not cry very much. My foster mom says that Dixon and I are two of the easiest and smartest puppy fosters she's ever had! A couple things that you should know about me: I LOVE FOOD!!! and I will eat it as fast as you can put it on the ground, so I must be fed small portions at a time so I don't get sick. I love to follow my foster mom around and cuddle her on the couch, she's my favorite!! I love toys, antlers, bones, oh and flip flops are my favorite! Sometimes I forget that shoes are not toys but my foster mom says 'NO' and I quietly set them down. She also says that Dixon and I are really smart, but I already knew that! I am not quite potty trained but I am working on it! I know that it will not take me long because I am learning so early. I must be taken outside on a regular basis though or I could have an accident. Every night I sleep in a crate next to my foster mom's bed with Dixon. We know that it's time to go to sleep so that is exactly what we do! We wake up around 6-7am every morning because we have to go potty! No one wants to potty in their crate that's just nasty!! My foster mom is very proud of us for how much we are learning and is going to hate to see us go. She will, on the other hand, love to see us go to amazing loving homes. Could it be you? Mason is an 8 week old German Shepherd/Border Collie mix. Mason currently weighs about 5 pounds. PUPPIES: Young puppies that haven't had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center at our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application, and if approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted. OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come get the dog and bring them home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. However, we only adopt young puppies locally, due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vaccinated. NOTE: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership, K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted and altered.     Dixon here! You have probably seen my brothers and sisters on here! We are the lucky fuzzy 9 and that's an understatement! We were saved from a high kill shelter here in Houston but my K-9 Angels came to our rescue! I am one of the ONLY two white puppies of the litter, I guess we are more border collie than German Shepherd. But that's ok, it makes us original! I currently live with my brother Mason at my foster mom's house! She loves having us both there to love on her and will hate to see us go, but not if it's to a wonderful home!! Some things to know about me: when I run, I pounce. My foster mom calls me a pouncer. She thinks it's like ... (Read More)really cute or something? I am learning potty training right now and I think I will pick it up fairly quickly since we are starting to learn so young! I must be taken outside pretty often or I will forget and have an accident. Mason and I sleep ALL night in our kennel next to our foster mom's bed, we like to know she's there. We don't really cry at all, my foster mom says that we are the smartest and easiest set of foster puppies she's ever had!! I wake up around 6-7am because I have to go potty and no one likes to go potty in a kennel!! Once I've done that and had my breakfast, its PLAYTIME! We run all over the house in the mornings because we are so full of energy! I try to play with my foster brother and sister but they are so big so I just play with Mason instead. I love all of my toys and I love to cuddle, I am pretty much the whole package! Did I mention I am adorable too? Come meet me soon so I can steal your heart! Collie Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Harley here, I'm a part of the pack who they like to call the 'Lucky Fuzzy 9', as I'm one of nine pups that got saved from a scary place a week ago. I may have a boy's name, but I'm definitely all diva. I love to follow my foster mom around everywhere and if I can't see her when we go to bed, I get very worried but sleep all through the night next to her in my crate but may wake up to let her know it's time for me to go out and potty. I'm in my crate during the day while my foster parents are working but haven't had an accident yet while they are gone. My foster mom comes home at lunch to play with me for a little bit. I'm not a fan of my ... (Read More)crate yet while they are gone, but I will get used to it when I get bigger I'm sure. I can be a little spit fire when it comes to showing my foster brother Trevor who's boss. I can definitely hold my own. I love chewing on antlers, as being a baby my teeth can hurt sometimes so it feels good to chew on them. Since I'm a puppy, I'm still working on not going potty inside, but my foster mom is working on it with me and I mostly know to go to the back door to let you know when I need to go. I'm definitely a little explorer out in the backyard and like to try and chase bugs until my foster mom brings me back inside (since I haven't had all my shots yet and I need to be careful what I eat or get into). I haven't been around cats yet to know if I like them or not but get along with my other furry foster siblings. My foster mom thinks I would be good as the only pup or with some friends to play with and keep me busy. I would love to find my forever home where I get lots of attention and love, as I deserve every bit of it. :) Harley is a female German Shepherd/Border Collie mix puppy who is around 8 weeks old.     I am one of the Lucky Fuzzy 9 puppies that were recently saved by K-9 Angels Rescue. I am male and will get a new bio and photos posted soon. For now, enjoy this one! My foster mommy says she 'loves' me and that I am a super 'sweet' pup. The little humans at my foster home also seem to 'love' me AND my foster brother, Gibbs who is also from K-9 Angels says he 'loves' me. Last but not least, the boss at our house, our big fluffy foster sister Isabella says 'I'm ok.' Give me some time and she will love me to, I'm sure of it!     This female was picked up as a stray with her litter of puppies. She is sweet and loves attention. She is a little tentative coming out of her kennel, but once out, she enjoys being around the handler and the outside world. She is submissive and is probably wondering why someone dumped her and her pups. Her pups are weaned and in a local rescue.

Hi, I'm Atia, another one of the 9 fluffy, lucky puppies saved recently. I am about 6 weeks old and possibly a Shepherd/Collie mix. I am smaller than my brother, Atticus, but working on being brave like him. Usually I am trailing right behind him chasing the big dogs or following behind my foster mom. Every now and then I get my courage up to play with the%A0big dogs, but I'm still a little scared of them if they run up to me too fast. I love to play and wrestle with my brother Atticus; he is teaching me to be big and brave. I love playing with toys and getting a chew. I also love to get snuggles and belly rubs. My foster mom is so nice and ... (Read More)gives me lots of attention. I'm getting bigger and braver everyday. I'm coming along with my potty training--hopefully I will have it down soon, but I'm a puppy so accidents are expected. If you want a fuzzy lovey dog, then I am the dog for you! We think Atia and her siblings were born around February 14, 2015 and weigh around 4-6 pounds. Rescue Me ID: 15-02-24-00490Blanco (male)

Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Blanco showed up at my daughters property last summer. We was very skinny and terrified of riding in a car. We believe someone drove by and drop him off (country land). Our daughter loved him but there were already 3 dogs in her family (all rescued from the streets) and there was no way they could handle one more. My husband and I live in a small townhouse with no place for Blanco to run like it is evident he likes and desperately needs. It breaks my heart to see him leave because he is an amazing dog! Super intelligent, so loving and clearly anxious to please us and gorgeous on top! I wish we had a bigger place and mostly a place with a ... (Read More)large fenced yard for him to run freely and get his exercise. The times we've seen him run we can tell how much he needs that. He runs like a horse! He looks like he is galloping not running! He is a sharp retriver, he'll bring you back anything you throw, he is a natural. Something else we loves is getting in to the water. We have a large hot tub in our back patio and if we were not careful he would jump in any chance he got. That tipical of the Newfoundland breed, they are often used as part of a water rescue team. He is 10 months old, he eats like a horse, any dog food we've tried he loves. He is almost house broken, not a 100% he seems to be into marking his territory I guess because we have two older dogs at home (10 yr old full size Maltesse male and a 9.5 year old Maltipoo female. Our Maltipoo does play with Blanco, not as much as he would like to play with her but they do play some. Our older Maltesse has become a grouchy older dog that does not want to be bother unless is to come eat. We have two neighbor dogs that he frequents and loves to play with. Their yard is bigger and they are very nice dogs (male and female pits). They run and run in circles together! (Less)

**COURTESY POST** Emma is a stunning beauty! This four-year old female caramel and white collie mix has tantalizing eyes. Emma weighs approximately 70 pounds and very healthy. Emma is very playful when comfortable and secure; she loves her humans and truly loves human touch! She would do best with a calm male/female companion dog or as an only dog; she would not be comfortable in a high energy environment. Emma would also accept older calm children who understand dog behavior. Emma walks very well on leash and enjoys the security of her humans, although she's sometimes skeptical of strangers. She is leash and crate trained, up-to-date on ... (Read More)vaccinations, heartworm free, spayed, and microchipped. Animal ID: 284Annabelle (female)

Collie    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Annabelle is a 5 yo, female, spayed, tri pending registration Old Time Scotch Collie (OTSC). The OTSC is the predecessor of today's collie breeds that became obsolete with the disappearance of the American family farm. These collies were more stocky, and hardy than today's collie, bred for independent thinking and the stamina to herd, hunt, and protect the family farm. There are only a few hundred of these dogs left, see http://www.scotchcollie.org/). So how did Annabelle wind up in Texas Collie Rescue (TCR)? The OTSCs that have been discovered in the U.S. have come from old family ranches and farms. And Annabelle is the right age to ... (Read More)have been turned in the San Antonio Humane Society as a pup at about the time when the Texas drought forced many San Antonio area farmers and ranchers to sell land and livestock, and part with the dogs they used to work farms and ranches that had been in operation for hundreds of years. But Annabelle can't remember living on a farm, or being taken to a shelter, or adopted. Or her owner mistaking her for an Australian Shepherd because of her coloring and docking her tail? Or getting lost? Or being stolen? That was just too long ago. And the poor dog could not say how she wound up in the back yard of a house in San Antonio in a high crime neighborhood, where someone put down an endless supply of cheap dog food that led to her becoming overweight. A high of just shy of 90 doggy pounds! It seems that Annabelle CAN remember being made to fight with other dogs, that caused the scars on her face and tongue. She is still collie-friendly and wags her stub of a tail lovingly at every dog she meets. She even wags at cats, who don't seem to want to share the love. But because of her fighting experiences, she will fight, and not back away if she is attacked by an aggressive dog. Annabelle must be with a family with a gentle dog friend, or no other dog at all. She should not visit a dog park where aggressive dogs might attack her. And she should not live in a home with very young children who might startle her by poking a stick in her eye when mom or dad aren't looking. And yes your little darling will do it even if you don't think she/he will, because young kids just don't know any better! And Annabelle also seems to remember being left alone in a yard until there was no more food to eat, and finally breaking down a gate to try to find water and food. She wandered for days through a neighborhood that you and I would be afraid to hang out in after dark before she was caught by a Good Samaritan Rescuer, who called Texas Collie Rescue. So now Annabelle keeps a close (almost-human-in-intelligence-and-perception) eye on, and stays where she can always see her Foster Mom to be sure she is never abandoned again. And she will be a loyal and devoted friend to/protector of her new owner(s) forever. Annabelle just had her teeth cleaned and one broken tooth extracted. So she has a bright new Pepsodent smile, gentle brown eyes, and gorgeous soft coat. Other than being overweight, she is completely healthy (HW negative). Annabelle is outrageously smart, and could learn anything a dog can be trained to do, as you are inclined (obedience, herding), or just be a beautifully mannered best friend and protector. She can sit, shake, lie down and loves to go on loose leash walks (you could build endurance and work off those pounds together!). She is ready to love her new person/family forever. Annabelle is a special collie in many ways, and you will know after seeing her pictures and reading her story that she is YOUR dog.
