Looking to rehome my dog. She just turned a year old this August. She is a smart girl with a lot of energy. She would make a fantastic working dog. She definitely has the energy and attitude to put in some hard work. She does well with another animals and is great with my little girls (7 and 5 years old). However, my girls don't show much interest in her. She is spayed, microchipped and does her business outside with access to a doggy door.

Rescue Me ID: 16-09-22-00378Robert (male)
Robert's a big ole country boy who wasn't grown into his feet yet. He's 4 months old and growing like a weed. Robert's not much for doing chores - he'd much rather wrestle and play. He has learned to sit for a biscuit, though. Robert loves to be wherever his foster momma is; if she's washing dishes, he's laying on the mat, drying her hair, he's under her feet in the bathroom or watching TV, he's right there. He doesn't get on furniture and sleeps in a crate. He goes ou tside often, so we don't have any accidents in the house (mom goes with him-remember, he wants to be with you!) If you're looking for a sweet, big mixed breed guy, Robert could be the wonderful pup for you. He's had two baby shots already, so he'll be at the adoption center this Saturday. Come see us, y'all. Robert is a Male Lab / Collie mix who weighs 29 lbs and is around 4 months old. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/adoption_process_k-9_angels_rescue.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. However, we only adopt young puppies locally, due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready. NOTE: All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian. Please LIKE and share our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/k9angelsrescue. Thank you! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-09-06-00399Fritz (male)
Fritz is a super love able and energetic little boy. We think he is a Collie mix but it's anyone's guess. He loves to play with his foster sister or alone with toys. He is completely house trained. Fences in area is suggested for this boy but he's not going to be much bigger so a standard size fence is adequate. He is just under 30 pounds.

Rescue Me ID: 16-09-06-00344Cora (female)
Believe it or not, the beautiful Cora was a 5pm dog when we stopped by ACS that day. Looked over by many, Cora's time was up and they needed to make room for incoming dogs. Luckily, a SNIPSA employee saw Cora and knew she was not a dog to be looked over. With love in her eyes and a single wag of her tail, she stole our hearts right away and rightly so as Cora is the sweetest gal you'll ever meet! Cora loves to be by your side and is the perfect snuggle buddy for those rainy day movie marathons. With fur softer than a pillow, we wouldn't be surprised if you ended up resting your head on Cora until you both fell asleep. And with her sweet temperament, she wouldn't mind it at all! Cora would make the perfect family dog as she loves everybody, big or small, and gets along fine with other dogs as well as cats. She is the perfect pup partner to stroll through the neighborhood with and would love to join you on your family vacations as she rides well in a car and this loyal girl will stick by your side as long as you return the love the gives you! Want to be a part of Cora's rescue story? Fill out an application for Cora today at www.snipsa.org! (Less)

Animal ID: 396Rusty (male)
My name is Rusty and I am waiting anxiously for you to adopt me. I'm a young Collie Great Pyrenees mix of about nine months old. I was found wandering around on a very busy highway. Thankfully someone cared enough to pick me up. And the rest is history as they say. I'm kind of a big fuzzy teddy bear. I love to have someone pet me and I will lay my head in your lap so you can. But, since I am a young boy who really does like to play I will need an in-home dog buddy to play with. And some good kibble. I LOVE to eat! So what are you waiting for? You need to start filling out an application so you can meet me. Applications can be found at www.texascollierescue.org. Can't wait to hear from you! Rusty Rusty is a gorgeous dog. Just a youngster. And he was found going back and forth over a busy highway. We were notified of him and took him into rescue. He has beautiful golden eyes and great coloring. His pictures don't do him justice. He is a big boy and loves attention. Where he came from he wasn't probably getting much. He likes to lay his head in your lap or come and stand really close to you. He just wants to be near someone. But he is young and will need a playmate. Rusty is ready to go at any time. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-08-15-00147Breyer (female)
Hello World, Breyer here and I just thought I'd tell you a little about myself. I'm your typical gal that will be your most loyal best friend ever. I love to be as close and near to you as possible. I'll even put my head on your lap while you tell me a story just so I can hear your voice. My foster Momma doesn't mind my company one bit, though she calls me her Velcro girl, whatever that means. I do love to play with my foster siblings as well, but I'll always have an eye on you to make sure you safe and sound. I may be a girl, but I don't let a little dirt and water slow me down. I LOVE to find water, whether it's a puddle or just running around in the rain, it doesn't bother me one bit, bring it on! So far I've been really good about going potty outside, occasionally if I get excited I might go a drop or two, but I can't help how excited I get when my people come home! I have gotten better and better about not doing that as each day passes. I sleep all night in my crate (house) like a good girl and even go right in there when it's time to eat. I'm great with all dogs of different shapes and sizes, not sure about cats though. Since I'm such a loyal gal I think I would make a great family dog, with lots of kids to take care of or have another dog sibling to run around and get my energy out with. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and an all around great pup, come meet me this weekend at the adoption center and I won't let you down! Breyer is a Female Cattle Dog / Collie Mix that we estimate to be born around February 15, 2016. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. |Rescue Me ID: 16-08-09-00143Coy (male)|
Coy showed up at my work. He is the sweetest puppy I've been around. He would rather be loved on than eat. He likes to play but is not rough. Hasn't chewed up his toys or blanket. I am not sure if he is house trained, he stays in the barn, but he goes to the bathroom in the same corner. Maybe he is crate trained. He tries to play with the cat, but the cat scares him off. He was nervous around our female lab. I haven't introduced him to any other dogs. He licks the bottle calf's face while he's drinking his bottle. Is very smart, learns quickly, and is very sensitive. All he really wants to do is be loved on. He's a little underweight, but not much. I will deworm him, but he has not seen a vet or had vaccinations. Seems to be healthy though. Needs a home asap. If you are looking for a calm, trained, sweet dog then Wilma is your girl! She knows sit, shake, down, is potty trained, walks well on a leash and is great in the car. She gets along with other dogs and ignores the resident cat. She would do just fine being the only dog too. She really loves people and has done great with my 4 year old. This girl is such an easy keeper and deserves a loving home of her own!

Leo is fixed, chipped, utd with 2 puppy vaccines, and bordetella. He is such a fun puppy! He likes playing with big dogs and even more so LOVES playing in the water. Many times I look up to see him just chillin' in his puppy pool. He is working on house training and is completely crate trained. He runs to his 'room' (crate) all on his own. He also makes for a big ol snuggle bear. He is in Waco, Tx and will need to be adopted nearby. I will not transport him.

Animal ID: 385Big Rudy (male)
RED ALERT!!! My name is Big Rudy and I am ready for adoption! I am a very friendly Collie/Great Pyrenees mix. And I would love to be your next family member and playmate for any other canine kids you might have. Let me tell you about me. My beginnings weren't too great. I was living in a truck yard around San Antonio, Texas. And the truck yard was moving. Some very nice people brought me to the rescue in Houston from the other side of San Antonio. They didn't want to send me to a shelter. And I'm very thankful they didn't. Those places are not very good for us. So now life is so much better, but I would love to have my own home and family. I love to run and play a lot. Little dogs, big dogs, it doesn't matter. I just like to play and always have a smile on my face since life is better than it was. Let's meet! Go to www.texascollierescue.org and fill out an application so we can get together. Can't Wait!! Big Rudy Big Rudy is a great dog. He's friendly, loves to play, and is an affectionate boy. And a really handsome guy with big golden eyes. But, he does need a playmate. He will play with any of the dogs, big or little. And he loves to run. As Rudy told you he was living in a truck yard that was moving. One of the employees did not want to take him to a shelter. Since the San Antonio shelter would put him down if not adopted. Her and her husband drove him to us which says a lot about them since it was not a short drive. You never would have known he had been living outside. Rudy has not had an accident in the house since he's been here. He settled in pretty quick. So he is house-trained and crate-trained and ready for his new home. Go to our website www.texascollierescue .org and fill out an application if you are interested in Big Rudy. (Less)

:-( I need to find a new home for my puppy... Born mid June so she is almost a year. She has had her shots and is spayed. I hate to give her up but she needs more than I can do for her. With 4 kiddoes 8 and under I just don't have the time to finish training her. She knows how to walk on a leash however she thinks she is walking you, she gets a bit too excited when playing with the kids and knocks them over but never hurts anyone on purpose, she knows the basics sit lay down and stay, she also taught herself how to use the pet door. She is 45 lbs and just needs some attention and I know she would end up being an amazing family dog.

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-04-00257Spice (female)
Spice is from a litter of puppies born to a stray mother. Mom is a small brindle terrier weighing less than 30 pounds. Dad is Chow/collie mix. Spice was adopted but recently ended up unclaimed at animal control. Not going back to those people! Spice is now a medium sized dog, going on 9 months old and weighing around 30 pounds. Spice is a super-sweet, cuddly, loving, playful puppy. She is crate trained and house trained. Her former adopters did not do much obedience training, but Spice is smart and learns quickly. She is still a puppy that gets into stuff. Spice must have a home where is is inside as a loved member of the family. She must also have a secure fenced yard where she can run and play. Spice loves her wading pool and playing with other puppies. Spice is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. She has a $75.00 adoption fee. Please contact Marianne at 2 Many Dogs to fill out an application if you are interested in meeting this beautiful little girl . We do adopt out of state and dogs are shipped to the northeast via ground transport for a total cost of $400.00 (including adoption fee). Collie Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. Collies, or Rough Collies, are loyal, devoted, and protective dogs. Most Collies are excellent companions for children. Collies are natural herders and may nip at people's heels when they are puppies. Collies respond well to gentle obedience training. Collies are best suited to loving families with a decent sized yard but can adapt to apartment life. Collies are easy to housebreak.
