Rescue Me ID: 15-01-24-00433Lexi (female)

Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This beautiful little girl is 25lb of pure love. She is approximately 6 months old. Whilst she is a little shy when she first meets new people, she warms up quickly once she gets to know you. She loves other dogs and takes her cues well from them. If they want to play, she'll play, if they want to have quiet time she will lay own like a good girl. She would do well in a household with another dog that she can learn from and put her trust in. Lexi loves company and physical contact and absolutely loves to cuddle up against you. Having said that she's not the type to jump all over you or your furniture uninvited. She really is a good girl. ... (Read More)She walks well on the leash, sits on command and is potty trained. She settles very well in her crate and is not destructive. She has yet to meet cats or children as she's only been with her foster mom one week, but her nature suggests that she would be good. A very gentle sweet girl, this well behaved calm puppy is going to make someone an amazing furever companion. She could possibly grow to the 40lbs range. If you are interested in meeting and potentially adopting her please fill the online application out at www.shelter2rescue.org click on the adopt tab. Lexi is fully vetted. (Less)

Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive,
 Malnourished, Abused/Neglected

We couldn't leave Chandler at the pound to die! He was picked up by BARC as a stray, and has obviously been on the street for a long time. His skin is in very bad shape, but his skin scrape was negative for mange. He is high HW positive. Chandler has a donor who will pay for his HW treatment, and for his skin medication. What he really needs, however, is somewhere safe and warm to recover while he heals and learns to trust people again. He is looking for a foster home, or an adopter. He has a street dog attitude, and although he will ignore you at first, it doesn't take long for him to start inching up looking for treats. He will be a ... (Read More)gorgeous dog once his long fur comes back. It is hard to tell his breed right now, but BARC estimates he may be a Stafordshire/Collie mix. Please help. Although Chandler is with a temporary foster right now, he really needs somewhere more permanent to grow strong again. (Less)

Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

CLE-OTIS was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services along with his 3 siblings at around 3mths old. He was labelled as a GSD mix, but we believe him to be more of a lab/collie mix. Since he has grown up with the pack he is very well dog socialized and a very confident young pup. He is very energetic and loves to chase and play with the other dogs. He is very loving and affectionate and loves to have his belly rubbed and of course his ears scratched. CLEOTIS is hoping for an active family that is looking for a young dog that they can train, and take to lots of places letting him experience the different sights, smells and sounds the ... (Read More)world has to offer. He does need some training although he does walk happily on a leash. CLEOTIS has an estimated date of birth of 28 January 2013. He is neutered, rabies, current on his vaccines. He was heart-worm and tick-borne-disease tested on 3rd October and was NEGATIVE for all. He weighs around 51-55 pounds and we think he will probably stay around this weight. He is great with kids, as long as they respect his boundaries and understand that dogs too need time to be left alone. We do not have cats in rescue so we cannot say how he is with cats, however, he is still young and could be taught to leave them alone, she he have that 'interest'. CLEOTIS is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog rescue for an adoption fee of $170. Our application can be found on our website under the application tab. We are located in Devine, south of San Antonio, Texas, however we do offer our dogs for adoption to families that live along the East and West Coast, using professional transportation companies to ensure their safe arrival.
