Mickey is a scared boy who was seized from a hoarding situation. The vet puts him at 2 years old. He had very little human contact and was living in deplorable conditions, fighting for food and space. He is shy with humans but making progress daily. He will need an experienced owner who is devoted to giving him the time, patience, and training he needs to learn to trust. We have rehabilitated several fearful dogs from this case and it can be done! Mickey has been neutered, is current on rabies, and heartworm preventative. His adoption fee is $150 to assist with medical expenses. Please consider giving this boy the life he has never ... (Read More)had.     Mike is a 5 year old, very handsome, mixed breed. He is like a mini St. Bernard, only weighs about 35 lbs and so cute! He was pulled from a kill shelter and is now ready for his forever home. Mike is blind in one eye, but it requires no special care. He is a good boy. Due to his vision loss, we recommend a home with no small children. He has been in foster care and bonds so much with an owner. He wants badly to be loved and cared for. A perfect home for Mike would be a single person or couple with no children. Mike likes to be near his person and also loves to play. He is good with other dogs as well. Mike has been fully vetted and is ... We have discovered she doesn't seem to do well with other dogs or cats. We have not tested her with dhildren and believe she should be an only dog. Her adoption fee is neogtiable. As we do not have any foster homes available without other dogs, she is back in the shelter. Please help us find her the home she deserves!

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-22-00237Chubby (male)

Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Vaccinations Current

All about me! Name: Chubby Breed: collie mix Age: est 2 years Height: est 17 inches Weight: about 30 lbs Good with dogs? yes Good with men? loves 'em Good with women? loves 'em House trained? working on it Crate trained? yes Leash trained? working on it Must have fenced in yard? no Foster home is: Dreamweaver Farms Pacolet SC Adoption fee: $125 Date into rescue: 3/21/13 Why am I with a rescue group? Chubby was turned into the local shelter along with his two sisters after their owner could no longer afford to care for them. Chubby can be a little shy at first, but warms up to be a sweet boy who loves everyone he meets - 2 or ... (Read More)4 legged, even cats! His two sisters got adopted out rather quickly, Chubby however is the last of the group to open up to people. He is great with the caregivers, and anyone that he knows. When he meets strangers, he tends to freeze up and is very shy. It would take a few weeks in a stable, loving home for him to open up. He is crate trained and appears to be house trained, though we can never say for sure. He is very afraid (at first) of new environments. He is curious and will search the place out but will jump at any noise he hears and tuck his tail. Again, given some time and patience he will open up and be a very nice companion! He would do best in a home with another confident dog, as he gets along with and LOVES other dogs. How I act when I first meet new people: timid Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.
