Rescue Me ID: 14-07-29-00386Hazel (female)

Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hazel is a very sweet , well behaved lady. She is fully housebroken and crate trained. She loves to play fetch and go for walks, but also loves to lay at your feet. She gets along with most dogs but has been known to wrestle roughly with them. She has some recently repaired dental issues which have been fixed with surgery. She gets along with most older children, but has a strong herding instinct with younger kids, which is what has led us to finding her a new home. We attempted to return her to the Humane Society where we got her a few month ago, but were informed that she would be euthanized due to these issues if we returned her. Please ... (Read More)know, she is not vicious, but protective. She has not bitten anyone since we got her and we have 2 children. She would be great for home protection since she has a great bark. She also very smart and learns quickly. Our youngest child is immunosuppressed and has now developed platelet issues and we can not risk any accidents, therefore we need to rehome her ASAP. (Less)
