This young man was picked up and his owner was not found. He is about a year and a half old. He is vaccinated DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies vaccine. He has been heartworm tested negative and started on sentinal for heartworm prevention. He is neutered and been treated with flea prevention ( didnt have them) wormed for internal paracites. He is a some what active boy - and a little apprehensive at first due to poor socialization but quickly warms up. He would do best with adults and older children as he is tall and may knock a little one over. He is a superb walking buddy!!! His coloring is of a yellow lab - but has some collie also. Just a real nice guy looking for a fun active home with someone that wants a walking buddy. Gets along with other dogs. please email for more information and to meet Marley! (Less)

|Animal ID: 0607Charlie (male)|
Hello. My name is Charlie. I'm about 3 years old and I weigh about 50 lbs. My friend Lizzy and I were surrendered to the pound by our owner. I'm a super sweet and affectionate boy. I was mostly a house dog with my previous family and I an very clean here at the pound so I am likely at least mostly housebroken, if not completely. I get along well with the other dogs I have met since I have been here at the pound and I lived with my friend Lizzie and did well with her as well. We share a kennel here at the pound but do not need to go to the same home together. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER SEPTEMBER 26, 2015. HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS. MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO. THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-09-01-00489Sweet Pea (female)|
SWEET PEA is a striking white and black, young adult female who is possibly a mix of White Shepherd and Collie. She has beautiful water blue eyes! And while her spotted stand-up ears are wonderful, her hearing is not. Sweet Pea is deaf and so she does require a family who will understand and provide the care needed for a dog with this disability. If you are the family lucky enough to adopt this special girl, you will get a dog who is very well-behaved and loving. She likes to stay close to her human when in the house and she plays well with other pets. She has been vetted, vaccinated and spayed. She tested negative for heartworm. She weighs around 40 pounds, so she is a medium-sized dog. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Sweet Pea if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit rescue to cover part of the cost of the veterinary care she has received. (Less)

Collie Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. Collies, or Rough Collies, are loyal, devoted, and protective dogs. Most Collies are excellent companions for children. Collies are natural herders and may nip at people's heels when they are puppies. Collies respond well to gentle obedience training. Collies are best suited to loving families with a decent sized yard but can adapt to apartment life. Collies are easy to housebreak.
