Rescue Me ID: 14-09-18-00280Butchie (male)

Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I am already neutered, housebroken, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats. Butchie was rescued from a property in southern Ohio with about a dozen other dogs. The family who owned the property where these dogs roamed was unable to properly care for them. He spent his entire life, thus far, outdoors. Butchie was very emaciated and anemic when he was brought in to rescue. With proper nutrition, medical treatment and loving foster care, he is thriving today. Butchie is a gentle snuggle bug, very affectionate and likes attention. He is housebroken and crate trained although he loves to be out ... (Read More)of the crate relaxing with his foster family. He has a lot of energy when he is excited but will easily lie down and relax when prompted. Butchie is very smart and learns quickly. He has not shown any aggression toward anyone or anything. The only 'assertive' type behavior would be when he is eating. He tries to eat very fast, probably because of his life outdoors fending for himself. But he is learning and does slow down his eating and actually backs away from his dish when told to stop. And then he will wait until he is told it is okay to go back to his dish. This handsome boy will make a loyal family member. He's sure to make you smile, cause a few daily giggles, and fill your heart with unconditional love. age: Born Feb 2014 (Less)

Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hazel is a very sweet , well behaved lady. She is fully housebroken and crate trained. She loves to play fetch and go for walks, but also loves to lay at your feet. She gets along with most dogs but has been known to wrestle roughly with them. She has some recently repaired dental issues which have been fixed with surgery. She gets along with most older children, but has a strong herding instinct with younger kids, which is what has led us to finding her a new home. We attempted to return her to the Humane Society where we got her a few month ago, but were informed that she would be euthanized due to these issues if we returned her. Please ... (Read More)know, she is not vicious, but protective. She has not bitten anyone since we got her and we have 2 children. She would be great for home protection since she has a great bark. She also very smart and learns quickly. Our youngest child is immunosuppressed and has now developed platelet issues and we can not risk any accidents, therefore we need to rehome her ASAP. (Less)
