Rescue Me ID: 16-07-07-00585Angus (male)

Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Angus is a 1 yr old Ais Traian shepher/collie mix (with also lab, rottweiler and chow). His original owners kept him in an invisible fence yard. He wanted to chase cars and he growled/barked at neighbors. They had 3 small children and felt he wasn't a good fit for their home so they surrendered him to a shelter. At the shelter he was anxious and had no issues with humans and no interest in the cats in the cat room. We adopted him a few weeks ago and found that he is aggressive toward cats (we have 3). On first meeting a new person he will bark, growl, and strain at the leash. After a few minutes he will usually settle down and allow the new ... (Read More)person to greet him. Due to the cat issue he is a difficult fit in our home. I explained the cat issue to the shelter as well as what we've seen re:growling and lunging on leash at people and they would not accept him back into their adoption program. They will only take him back to be euthanized. He is a beautiful boy who needs to go to an experienced owner in a household where he can be the only pet,at least at first, and where there are no young children. Should be ok with teens & up. He is heartworm negative, neutered and current on vaccinations, Heartgard, and Frontline. He is crate trained and housebroken. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-28-00302Ava (female)

Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Ava ! This beautiful girl is 2 years old and sweet as can be. She is shy and can be a little frightened in new situations but once she knows you and feels comfortable she is an absolute doll! Ava would be a great fit for most any type family. Because she can be shy, a home without small children is recommended. Ava likes to go for walks and does very well on leash. She currently lives with other dogs in her foster home and would do best in a home that has one or more friendly canine companions. Ava is spayed, UTD on all vaccines, current on monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, and micro chipped. A six month supply of ... (Read More)HeartGard Plus is included.
