We love Dan!! Dan was saved from the horrendous Meat Trade in Thailand. He came to us with no experience in a home but after spending a week in one we found he never dirtied the house and waited to go outside. Dan is calm and LOVES his walks. He would make someone a wonderful hiking or walking buddy because he would walk forever. He loves the outdoors as his past was spent as a street dog in Thailand. Dan was not always treated well by people and almost died in a cage with dogs meant to be slaughtered. But Dan survived, and he has forgiven people and holds no grudges. Dan is gentle and quiet and waits in his kennel patiently to be ... (Read More)taken outdoors, where he is so happy!! Dan's new family needs to have a securely fenced in yard and gate. No young kids only because if a door if left adjar he WILL run away. He cannot be left unsupervised outside and must be walked on a harness and a leash for added security - until he knows he is home, he knows he is safe, he knows this is his family. We have put other Thai dogs in homes and every one of them adjusted in time. It takes kind, patient people who are home most of the time and understand that Dan will need more time than most to settle in. But when he does, he will give his family his heart and his loyalty will be fierce and last until his dying day. If you feel you can give this gentle, sweet dog the life he deserves (the very best) please contact us and come and meet him. We are located in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York. Good things are worth waiting for, and Dan is a very very good boy!! He will be worth the wait for sure. (Less)
