Rescue Me ID: 16-05-21-00074Sandy (female)

Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sandy was born about May 10, 2015 and weighs about 45 lbs. She is wonderful with all of us and wonderful with the other dogs. As of yet we have no information as the southern shelter doesn't take the time to interview humans as they are dropping off their dogs because, most of the time, it just doesn't matter. Sadly, we will be learning as we go, but sure are glad that Sandy was able to make the journey!

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-13-00062Manville (male)

Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I'm gorgeous and sweet! Manville was born about April 27, 2013 and weighs about 70 lbs. He was completely friendly on intake and has been wonderful with all the other dogs. Sadly, he's been the 'outside' dog as there was a small 'inside' dog, but he is making great strides living inside now. They did bring him in sometimes if the weather was bad and he never had an accident. He does well in the car, but apparently wasn't taken many places (no prior vet care) so he does drool a little while riding, this should go away with more experience. He wasn't too bad on leash considering he's had no experience, but he sure does love the freedom ... (Read More)of a fenced yard and would like one in his future, please. He is here because someone retired and no longer had the funds to even feed him, lucky for Manville he gets to live a different life now. We are told he breaks collars so a buckle collar will be best. Really nice dog, here through no fault of his own. (Less)

Collie Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This adorable puppy was born about February 17, 2016 and may, this is a BIG may, end up weighing in the 35-65 lb. range. At this point their age and breed choices are just one BIG guess! Truly, if you are looking for something particular or you don't like surprises please do not inquire about these puppies, we don't want you disappointed or our dog to become homeless as a young adult because it got too big, stayed too small, or you or someone else feels it is another breed other than our guess. These puppies are very social, happy, have been healthy, and are fun, wonderful babies! We have absolutely no idea of parentage and no knowledge ... (Read More)how they ended up at the high kill shelter. The shelter must kill so fast, due to the population problem, that they seldom ask for information because it takes time and most of the time it just doesn't matter..... We are so glad these mystery puppies made the trip! (Less)

Bonnie was born about January 27, 2016 and 'may' end up weighing in the 50 lb. range like mom, our Yeti, but we have no idea what dad was so these pups may be a surprise package. Please don't let the cuteness get in the way and be sure you are OK with the ultimate outcome of these babies. We don't want our dogs thrown away because they get too big. Thank you.

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-30-00288Jake (male)

Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Jake is a 14 month male/n Lab Mix. Jake is a very smart boy and knows over 15 tricks including shake, sit, down, give-me-a-kiss, high-5, and weave. He is also potty trained and up to date on all of his vaccines. He is an excellent agility dog and loves to play. Chasing bubbles is his favorite past time. Jake can be easily frightened and is very weary of strangers. Sometimes sudden noises will cause him to growl. He would do wonderfully in a single person or couple home with moderately active individuals. He is looking for someone who has the time to work with him on his fear issues. It is best he does not share a home with children or cats. ... (Read More)He is very well socialized with other dogs and loves to make new friends. Ideally he would be suited to an outdoor environment with plenty of space to run and explore! (Less)

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Lilly was born about February 22, 2015 and weighs about 30 lbs. She is a pretty little girl that was an excellent passenger on the way up. So far she is simply a all-around, nice, mixed breed pooch that is looking for a new home. The shelter kills so fast that they don't bother to gather much information about the dogs so we will be learning as we go. She has been wonderful with all of us and the other dogs.

Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Carrie was born about February 6, 2015 and weighs about 35 lbs. She is cute as a button and ultimately friendly and happy! We have discovered one thing about her that you need to know. Our kennels have ladder like rungs and she easily climbs to 6 foot on them If your yard is fenced a wooden fence or electric fence should be oOK but maybe not chain link just for precaution. No information is gathered when humans dump their dogs off at a high kill pound as the staff knows they are probably going to die and it's not worth the time and energy to interview the owners.
