Rescue Me ID: 15-08-01-00348Kenny (male)

Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Kenny Lab 10 months UTD shots At 3 months of age, 7 months ago, Kenny was turned into the shelter. As a result, he does not really understand things like yards, toys, leashes, or snuggles. He's a bit shy, a bit nervous...and heartbreakingly sweet. There is something about the look in his eyes that just makes me want to hug him. Fortunately, he does not seem to mind being hugged, and in fact, is already coming up to me for snuggles. The adoption fee ($350) includes all of the following services: Spay/Neuter, Vaccines, heart worm test for dogs over 6 months, micro chip, worming and Frontline. Your application must be approved prior to making ... (Read More)an appointment to meet the dogs at our facility. When applying for a dog, please keep in mind that we accept many applications and applying for a specific dog does NOT mean you are guaranteed to get that dog. Thank you! Please do not wait for a call or email, fill out an application ASAP if you are interested in meeting a dog. HVARS.org (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-07-22-00668Scooby (female)

Collie Mix    Age: Senior

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Scooby was born about March 16, 2000 and weighs between 35 & 40 lbs. OK,so, any of us dog lovers hate to see our dogs get old and know they are going to die on us in the near future, but we love them more than ever and do as much, medically, for them as we can to keep them comfortable until that day comes to send them over the Rainbow Bridge in our loving arms as we weep. Sometimes instead of that we decided we can't bare to watch them age any longer and we take them to a shelter to live out their remaining days. So, we welcomed Scooby who doesn't deserve to live in this day care like environment, but not one complaint from her! She is ... (Read More)incredible with all the other dogs (probably helps she can't hear very well), she's good with cats and we are told she's good with children, but if I were her I'd rather not live with any running, screaming, aged children no more than I'd like to live in all this commotion, so let's say older children would be best. She is house trained, good on leash, does fine in a car, stays with you off leash while you do your chores, but we are told she has one flaw - she hates the mailman. I have a hard time thinking she could hate anything, but maybe. Scooby is not much of a barker and we are told she gets a skin issue every spring/summer. Hmmm.....wonder if it could be from fleas??? Is anyone out there willing to give this incredibly wonderful, very loving, lady a home for the rest of her days? She seems to be in fine health, maybe a daily Rimadyl would be nice though, she's just a little stiff. She's amazing for 15!!!!!!!! (Less)
