Pennie needs someone who has land for her to run around and needs to be introduced to other dogs slowly and then she's amazing with them but uneasy at first. She loves to cuddle but when left alone for a long period of time she gets bored and tries to chew things.

Rae Rae is an adorable 30 lb Collie mix who is a spunky, sassy girl! She loves to play with other dogs but will need a dog companion who loves to play as much as she does! Please note that our rescues are saved from high kill shelters in TX and will be transported to the NE for adoption.

|Rescue Me ID: 14-05-26-00137ROXY (female)|
If my husband would let me have another dog this is who I would adopt in a heartbeat. She is beautiful, easy to care for and loving. ROXY is 4 yr old female shepherd/Collie. She weighs approximately 50 pounds, is UTD on vaccines, HW negative, dog friendly, people friendly, doesn't bother chickens or the cats. She is house broken, easy to train and discipline, has medium energy, loves to play and run, but will be your lap dog too (she enjoys laying on her fosters lap in the evenings) and she walks well on a lead. She is a perfect dog!!!!!! ROXY'S STORY: Roxy was rescued from our county animal control May 2012. She was sent to boarding awaiting transportation when the receiving rescue group was ready. She had puppies while in the kennel but had mastitis and had to be separated from her puppies. Her puppies went to a foster until Roxy recovered. Roxy and her puppies were reunited in July in foster until they were ready to leave. The puppies went to their rescue in NJ and Roxy stayed in foster for spay. Roxy was adopted locally, but a year later she was returned because the owner moved and couldn't take her. Roxy has been with her original foster since then. |Rescue Me ID: 14-04-07-00164Kane (male)|
We got this dog from our cousin in December 2013 who rescued it. Since having the dog, my husband got a new job and can no longer take care of him like he used to, and I am pregnant which also makes it hard for me since he is a strong, large dog; so we are looking for someone who can give him a good home and give him the time and attention he deserves. He is good with our kids and smaller female dog. He will be 2 years old in September and is a mix of a pit bull, blue heeler, and collie. He is not neutered and is up to date with his shots which he received in Pennsylvania where we got him. Please contact me if you can help, thanks!

Collie Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. Collies, or Rough Collies, are loyal, devoted, and protective dogs. Most Collies are excellent companions for children. Collies are natural herders and may nip at people's heels when they are puppies. Collies respond well to gentle obedience training. Collies are best suited to loving families with a decent sized yard but can adapt to apartment life. Collies are easy to housebreak.
