Rescue Me ID: 17-05-03-00436Emily (female)

Collie Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive,
 Abused/Neglected

Sweet Emily has has a rough life. She has been in foster for about 6 months now. She came to us so scared, so skinny, so abused, heartworm positive - it has taken this long for her to get healthy, to learn to play and to learn to trust. Emily has come a looooong way! She is about about 45 lbs, possibly a short haired collie mix with some shepherd. The guestimate is that she is about years old. She is happiest just being near her family in a quiet envronment. While youre gone to work she will patiently wait for you on your bed, making sure everyone is safe. All of Emily's front teeth are broken. Probably when she tried to chew off ... (Read More)the chains that kept her imprisoned out in the harsh elements. She is so sweet but wary of strangers. She will do best with an older family. Fine with all ages of kids but will become protective & if a lot of kids are coming & going it will be overwhelming for her. She just wants a quiet, loving stable warm home. Fully housebroken, currently undergoing treatment for heartworms (Less)
