|Animal ID: 16-09-15-00200Luna (female)|
Luna is simply wonderful and a beautiful girl--inside and out. Her heart has been broken more than once. She was saved from a high-kill shelter when she was 5 months old--adopted as an 8 month puppy was returned to the high kill shelter because she was too big. Then we got her when she was 5 months old and by 6 months old she was adopted into a home with 5 children where she blossomed and LOVED those children, their mom and pop. She was just another little girl in the family. But the neighbors in the 'association' complained because she was big and the family let her run lose all over the house--she was just a puppy!---and did not properly supervise her. With many tears and broken hearts they returned her after having her for 6 months :(. Then recently, another adopter, again with tears in their eyes returned Luna to us after 2 weeks because their neighbors were complaining that Luna barks at people when they walk by--and she has a loud bark. Luna is NOT hyper. She is gentle and sweet and gets along with all dogs. She even likes cats--but may want to play with them too much. She LOVES children and people and may still need some potty training; although the last adopter said she didn't have any accidents. She does well in the kennel and loves to cuddle with and more than anything wants a forever family. She is tall and will probably reach 100lbs once fully matured. She is truly a regal looking 'little' girl. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or TEXT me at 319-471-0752 if you are interested in meeting Luna and giving her a forever home. She is spayed and UTD on shots. Please remember: Luna is a large dog. She also has a loud bark (DUH). She has been returned to us TWICE--because neighbors complain to 'adopters' that her bark is loud. She is not a constant barker. But when she barks it is loud. And, she does bark at people walking down the side walk if you have her in a yard that is next to the side walk (DUH). She does not have ONCE OUNCE of aggression--but she is a big dog (again) and 'neighbors' are picky. So, the best home for Luna will be a place where neighbors are not picky or there is not a lot of foot traffic just outside your house. We love Luna and will only consider adopting her out to someone who will love her FOREVER and is ready to deal with 'neighbors'. Please text me 319-471-0752. (Less)

Collie Dogs can make good pets in Iowa if they match your IifestyIe. Collies, or Rough Collies, are loyal, devoted, and protective dogs. Most Collies are excellent companions for children. Collies are natural herders and may nip at people's heels when they are puppies. Collies respond well to gentle obedience training. Collies are best suited to loving families with a decent sized yard but can adapt to apartment life. Collies are easy to housebreak.
