Rescue Me ID: 16-04-12-00021Miranda (female)

Collie Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable young puppy. They're so new and fresh with every possibility open to them. That's the case unless they're in a high-kill shelter that quickly runs out of space. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuer in saving Miranda and her siblings...she could see that their temperaments were so kind and sweet that she couldn't allow them to be euthanized. Miranda is the kind of very endearing puppy that will lie in your arms and give a periodic loving kiss. Her great personality was the key to her being noticed and therefore rescued. Miranda was immediately brought ... (Read More)to be vetted and temperament tested... and then brought to a great Houston foster home to receive pure love and begin her education. It turns out that Miranda, at only 14 weeks old and 11.6 lbs. (expected by the vet to be approximately 40 - 45 lbs when full-grown) is so sweet and super smart.. it's become a fun and rewarding experience for her foster mom to watch Miranda blossom. Miranda is like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around her..she's incredibly entertaining when she gets going. If she continues this regimen of socialization that promotes positive relationships with other dogs and bonding with humans...she will become a well-adjusted and pleasant adult companion. Miranda is an adorable Labrador Retriever/Soft Coated Collie mix puppy with a stunning black, white and golden coat that, with great nutrition and care, will speak of the beauty of this very loving puppy. Miranda (and her siblings) were diagnosed with dermatitis caused by fleas, shelter dirt and stress. She has since been moved into a foster home with clean conditions, lots of love and far less stress..and is doing very well. Miranda's calm and sweet demeanor is just who she is...she just appears to be a bit more analytical than your average crazy puppy. If Miranda is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, she will become a well-adjusted dog who respects her people as her leaders. This is the kind of loving and committed family we're searching for for Miranda. We also feel it's very important that Miranda is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. She will learn valuable socialization skills through puppy kindergarten followed by positive reinforcement obedience training classes. Miranda will also be overjoyed with hiking with her best human (and canine) friends along Colorado paths enjoying the sunshine. We're searching for a family for Miranda that spends lots of time at home and chooses to include a fuzzy companion in their activities. Miranda can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community and can therefore accompany her family just about anywhere. Miranda will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 4/22/16. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet and devoted best friend and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730. (Less)
