Rescue Me ID: 16-09-18-00047Blanche (female)

Collie Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Blanche is an 8 week old, 4lb, Border Collie mix. We do believe that Blanche will be on the very small side of a Border Collie. We are not too sure what her is mixed with, but we are thinking maybe some other kind of Collie. Blanche was brought to a shelter with her 9 brothers and sisters. They were all in pretty good health, but the woman who brought them in still asked for them to be euthanized because they were an "accidental litter" and she did not want the responsibility of taking care of them. Our rescue couldn't let these sweet babies lose their lives at such a young age so we took them into our rescue. They were ... (Read More)only 6 weeks old when they were dropped off, but now they are 8 weeks old and ready to find their forever homes. Blanche is sweet and snuggly, but also playful. She does have some puppy energy at times and loves to rough house with her siblings and the fosters bigger dog. She is also good at relaxing. With the right socialization she will be the most perfect dog. Once it's nap time Blanche loves nothing more than to snuggle up close with her siblings in their bed, or with his foster mom on the couch. The foster mom says she is the cutest little thing with her fluffy little butt and happy personality. She will always bring a smile to your face. Blanche will be such a great size for a hiking companion in the beautiful CO mountains. We do believe that Blanche would be great for most types of families. She would do great with another dog to show her the ropes or with gentle, loving kids. She would also be great for an active individual or couple who want a smaller hiking/running/walking dog. If you are interested in adopting Blanche or one of her siblings, please email us for an application at sunshinecanyondr@gmail.com (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-09-12-00046Jewel (female)

Collie Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Jewel is a 14 week old, 15lb Collie mix. We do not know Jewel's exact breeds as all her siblings looks so different, but we do know she is absolutely adorable and has the most amazing personality. Look at those ears and her little heart nose. Jewel and her sister we owner surrenders to a shelter in TX because the they were an 'accident litter' and the the person who had them did not want to take care of them anymore. Our rescue knew that these two babies would love the CO mountains and would find amazing homes here in CO so we got them out of the TX shelter and on a transport to CO. When we first got Jada and her sister Jewel from the ... (Read More)shelter they were very underweight, but since they have been in foster for about 3 weeks now they have put on a good amount of weight and are happy, healthy little pups. Both Jewel and Jada and the sweetest puppies. They love to play with each other and also play well with the fosters dogs. They have been learning a lot from the fosters dogs and really look up to them. They are doing well with learning that outside is where they potty, but will absolutely need further training once they find their forever homes. Jada and Jewel love to follow their foster mom around and when she is gardening outside they always go with her to the garden and play in the grass while she gardens. At night both pups sleep well in their crate, but sometimes their foster mom lets them snuggle in bed since they are just such snuggle bugs and love to be with her. When the foster mom is watching TV the pups will either play with each other in the living room or come snuggle right up to her, they both just love snuggles and to be close to the foster mom. That being said, they can also be independent and do their own thing when the foster is busy making dinner or getting work done. These pups just really don't have any flaws. Obviously they still need to continue their socialization and training so they end up being the perfect little companions. Jewel and Jada would be the perfect pups for someone who loves to explore the CO mountains or go for long runs/hikes. They would also be great for a family that has another dog for them to learn and grow from, or children to play with.
