Rescue Me ID: 15-11-28-00531CHEYENNA GRACE (female)

Collie    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive,
 Abused/Neglected

Cheyenna Grace appears to be a purebred Scotch Collie, aka Farm Shepherd. She was scheduled to be killed in a TX shelter because she was growling and showing her teeth. She has exhibited some food aggression with her Texas foster Mom and when boarded but we have seen none in her current foster home. She also growls and shows her teeth at some people. We believe Gracie to have been physically abused (and neglected) and also neglected mentally however she is doing great in our home. She kisses her foster Mom, sleeps in bed, but is still very unsure of meeting new people. Her adopter must treat her like an unsocialized breeder for 3-4 days ... (Read More)prior to any attempt to make eye contact or touch her. Adopter must have experience with dogs who act out due to fear. She has a very soft mouth. She is sweet once she gets to know you, walks wonderfully on a leash, is VERY mellow, does chase the cats. We have no idea how she is with children. She has had blood work is all is good except for HW+. Vet estimated her age at 8+ so we are not spaying her or doing traditional HW treatment. She has zero HW symptoms. She ignores other dogs and loves to be outside. Thank you for considering adoption! (Less)

LOLA Sweet sweet Lola. I know, you might think I am too old to adopt but let me tell you that I am so gentle and full of love. My elderly Mom recently passed away and, now, I and my 3 fur brothers are hoping to find a loving home to live out our lives. We had been with Mom since we were puppies and we loved her as much as she loved us. I'm eleven years young, with many good healthy loving years that I would like to share with you. I'm a Collie / Border Collie mix, very gentle and sweet...Collies are very loyal and loving family dogs, you know. I like to stay outdoors but it would be wonderful to come in and lay by your feet at night. I ... (Read More)am spayed and current on all of my shots. I am hoping and praying that someone will let me live out my remaining years, loving and being loved, in a wonderful family. Is that someone you? (Less)
